In 2011, panic breaks out in the international art world. For four decades, Wolfgang Beltracchi has painted and sold forgeries worth hundreds of millions of kronor. Works that were supposed to have existed, but which no one had seen for 100 years. In reality, it is the artist Wolfgang Beltracchi who painted the works. He found a kind of blind spot in the art market by going through numerous art catalogs. Adolf Hitler did not like modern art, and thousands of works disappeared during the Nazi regime. And these are the works that Wolfgang Beltracchi paints, as if they were the genuine paintings. For nearly 40 years, Wolfgang could earn multi-million sums from his forgeries. Inventor Peter Madsen invites journalist Kim Wall on a trip in his self-built submarine. She is going to do an interview but never comes home. Two competing amateur space societies want to be the first to launch a privately built rocket above the Earth's atmosphere. Journalist Kim Wall is working on an article about the unusual competition. She is invited aboard inventor Peter Madsen's self-built submarine to interview him there. But the submarine disappears from radar, and when it resurfaces, only the inventor remains onboard. Peter Madsen says he dropped Kim off the same evening they went out, but the police believe he is lying. Kim is not on board the submarineDays pass and Kim is gone without a trace. When the ground cracks in Nepal, two Swedish girls struggle to survive the day while facing a life-altering choice.
