In any case, our many months of autumn-winter sadness give way to light, sharp colors and shapes emerge from the mud and grayness again, and we have a chance to see them if we stop staring non-stop at movies on Netflix and the screen of a mobile phone. The carnival of life temporarily gains the upper hand over Lent - as every year, at the same time. Although it must be admitted that these last months have not been easy for amateurs of nature contemplation and deep investigations into transience. We live in an acceleration, the limits of which are shifted almost daily, and the new President of the United States has made expanding what the human imagination is able to grasp a kind of art. When it seems to us that we are reaching the finish line, Donald Trump speaks up and we already know that we have underestimated our colleagues. If we add to this the wars - the two most publicized, but these are not the only examples of people killing each other in the name of higher goals - if we add natural disasters and other misfortunes that befall people around us, then talking about life that overcomes death may seem inappropriate. And yet I will take the risk. And this is not the only risk today - after all, I usually arrange these holiday broadcasts to disrupt the comfort zone, mainly my own, but I hope that you benefit from it. In a moment we will move to distant Siberia, to a country and people that are difficult for us to talk about - not only because we look at Russia through the prism of its crimes committed in Ukraine, but also because we are losing contact with this country, we are ceasing to know what modern Russia is.
