In the new episode, my guest is Prof. Dr. Mutlu Binark, and our topic is the Korean Wave - Hallyu and related cultural policies. But this is not a coincidence. It is a cultural policy of Korea that has become a state affair. It is an incredibly interesting, sociological, political, and economic phenomenon; a situation that needs to be examined at length, and perhaps some parts of it should be taken as an example. Prof. Dr. Mutlu Binark, Head of the Department of Information and Information Technologies at Hacettepe University Faculty of Communication, is an academic who has mainly worked on Japan, China, and South Korea, learned their languages, conducted research by going to the region, and written books on cultural policies.
