The company is so hot right now, Sam even tried investing but wasn't able to. They also talk about a company delivering testosterone right to your doorstep. We've talked about this business before, and Shaan even said it was one of the best ideas we've had on the pod. We also cover BeeRoll (Shaan thinks this can become a 9-figure company), Polymarket, and a bunch of growth tactics at the very end. --------- * Want to be featured in a future episode? Google search may be the world’s most powerful public health platform. Dr Karen DeSalvo, Google's chief health officer, has built a team of doctors, scientists and clinicians who — alongside engineers and designers – determine what information and advice shows up when we search for answers about Covid-19, the pandemic, vaccines and more. She also heads Google’s employee health-safety efforts and leads external in-the-field efforts to broaden vaccine access in the US and across the globe. Her message to businesses is that we all have a role to play in combating the virus – and that, when it comes to return-to-work, our own personal risk assessment can’t be discounted.Read a transcript of this episode at: https://mastersofscale.comSubscribe to the Masters of Scale weekly newsletter at https://mastersofscale.com/subscribeSee Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

In Part II of our Berkshire Hathaway Trilogy (!), we pick up the story with Warren wandering in the woods of Omaha, searching for his life's next chapter after retiring from the professional investing business at the top of his game at age 39. How does he emerge from those woods anew, transforming from Ben Graham's cigar-butt cocoon into the butterfly collector of Berkshire's wonderful businesses? (Spoiler: Charlie Munger.) And how did one rotten-to-the-core business nearly bring it all down — everything he'd ever worked for — in the span of one terrible week? Tune in! OPRAH WINFREY: THE MAP How many times have you witnessed someone get close to achieving a goal, only to see it suddenly fall apart? Or they reach the top of the mountain but can’t seem to hold on. Maybe you too have struggled with near-misses and dreams that didn’t quite materialize. Self-sabotage can be a devastating cycle. Oprah believes the variable between winning the race and faltering at the finish line lies with one of the guiding forces in her life: Intention. She says, “Those who sense your truth and your authenticity will rise up to support you. But most importantly you must believe with your whole heart that you are capable of achieving your goal. So first ask yourself Why? What is the real intention? Then ask: How will I execute the action?” In this podcast, Oprah sits down with such legendary spiritual teachers and writers as Gary Zukav, Gabrielle Bernstein, Brené Brown, Stephen Colbert, David Brooks, President Joe Biden (VP at the time) Marianne Williamson, Daniel Pink, Carole Bayer Sager, Cheryl Strayed, Reverend Michael Beckwith, Meagan Good, Devon Franklin, Janet Mock and Goldie Hawn. They share their own personal trajectories and the inner map they followed which led them to the ultimate fulfillment of their dreams. Interviews with these talented writers, speakers and thought leaders are excerpted from Oprah’s Emmy Award-winning show Super Soul Sunday. You can also find this compilation and other insightful conversations, in Oprah’s best-selling book The Path Made Clear.

Leslie John, associate professor at Harvard Business School, has done some deep research into the ways that people self-promote in their professional lives and identified what works and what doesn't. She says it is possible tout your own accomplishments without annoying your colleagues, if you do it at the right time or enlist others to boast on your behalf. She notes that many common workarounds -- such as humblebragging -- are highly ineffective and advises people to not only look for more natural opportunities to self-promote but also try to present balanced views of themselves. She's full of tips you can put to work, even in virtual settings. John is the author of the HBR article "Savvy Self-Promotion."
Politics and entrepreneurship have much in common: Both versions of scale leadership require strategic patience, hard work, a clear vision of a better future, an unshakable belief that you can bring that future to life – and the ideal opportunity to make it all come together. President Barack Obama sits down with Reid Hoffman in Part 1 of our two-part episode on finding the right moment to act, and when the moment chooses you. Obama talks about how being in the right place, at the right time, with the right mindset enabled his political ascension. Fueled by what President Obama calls “preparation and perspiration,” his 2008 campaign was a startup that defied expectations. Then came the big pivot: figuring out how to move from renegade mode to leading one of the world's largest enterprises, the U.S. government.
