How to stop AI from killing your critical thinking | Advait Sarkar

From 🇺🇸 TED Talks Daily, published at 2025-11-15 16:00

Chatbots might help you get work done faster — but at what cost? When we outsource our reasoning to artificial intelligence, we reduce ourselves to "middle managers for our own thoughts," says AI and design researcher Advait Sarkar. He examines the cognitive trade-offs of using AI at work and introduces a different kind of tool: one that encourages critical thinking, nudges reflection and actually helps you get smarter. หยุดทำแบบนี้ แล้วชีวิตจะพังน้อยลง #สรุปหนังสือ The Not To Do List | MM EP.2549

From 🇹🇭 Mission To The Moon, published at 2025-11-15 13:00

Many aim to do more, work harder, be better, be more disciplined, but we often forget that life doesn't always improve by "doing more." Sometimes it improves by stopping habits that quietly harm ourselves. These small behaviors gradually accumulate into mental fatigue, causing relationships to wither, careers to stagnate, and dreams to be shelved without realizing it because we keep "repeating the same mistakes" in the same spot. No matter how fast we try to run, we're still stuck in the same cycle. This book summary EP. invites you to revisit 5 important habits that, if stopped, will make life less unlucky. All are lessons that teach us to be wiser about what to put down first so that life can move forward without carrying unnecessary burdens.

Aladin El Mafaalani (2025) – What breaks our trust today?

From 🇩🇪 Hotel Matze, published at 2025-11-15 05:00

The obscure pool of money the US used to bail out Argentina

From 🇺🇸 Planet Money, published at 2025-11-15 00:08

Last month, during the longest government shutdown in U.S. history, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent announced that the United States had offered to functionally loan Argentina $20 billion. Despite the sums involved, this bailout required no authorization from Congress, because of the loan’s source: an obscure pool of money called the Exchange Stabilization Fund. The ESF is essentially the Treasury Department’s private slush fund. Its history goes all the way back to the Great Depression. But, in the 90 years since its creation, it has only been used one time at this scale to bailout an emerging economy: Mexico, in 1995. That case study contains some helpful lessons that can be used to make sense of Bessent’s recent move. Will this new credit line to Argentina work out as well as it did the last time we tried it? Or will Argentina’s economic troubles hamstring the Exchange Stabilization Fund forever?Pre-order the Planet Money book and get a free gift. /  Subscribe to Planet Money+Listen free: Apple Podcasts, Spotify, the NPR app or anywhere you get podcasts.Facebook / Instagram / TikTok / Our weekly Newsletter. This episode was hosted by Keith Romer and Erika Beras. The Spirits of the Indios Verdes Metro (and other horror stories)

From 🇲🇽 Relatos de la Noche, published at 2025-11-14 23:20

Listen to the complete episode of 7 HAUNTED HOUSE STORIES that we recorded live at the Amazon Music Podcast Week here: https://music.amazon.com.mx/podcasts/307779d1-f989-46b9-a3a9-f78388a79be6/episodes/d11ae1c9-423a-4200-b3e5-e9a9ff9ad567/relatos-de-la-noche-7-relatos-de-casas-embrujadas-en-ciudad-de-m%C3%A9xico?ref_=dmm_brd_pgr_mx_plc_osm_ig_exc_com_evr_RDLN_ In this episode, we delve into some of the deepest fears hidden in everyday life: subway corridors, seemingly quiet houses, and rural roads that we know by heart. Three people, from very different corners of the country, share experiences that they could never fully explain... encounters that seemed impossible and that, nevertheless, left a mark that they still carry with them. A psychologist receives an unexpected visit that seems to follow her beyond her doorstep. A young woman who travels daily through Indios Verdes discovers that not all the presences on the platform belong to this world. And from Yucatán, a witness narrates what he found in the forest one night when the darkness fell too quickly. They are different stories, but they all speak of what sometimes peeks out from the other shore. That which appears when we least expect it. Argentine astronomer demands explanations from Milei for paralysis of Chinese scientific project.

    From 🇦🇷 Cara o Ceca, published at 2025-11-14 18:26

Due to its alignment with the US, the Argentine government has paralyzed the project to create a space observatory in the El Leoncito Astronomical Complex (CASLEO) in the province of San Juan. An astronomer wrote a public letter to the president asking for explanations. "We heard that the project is paralyzed through the media. We still don't have official information. We are still working on it and we ask the president that, if it is true, not to stop this," said Carolina del Valle Garay, astronomer and university professor in San Juan, on Cara o Ceca. "It is a scientific project for international use. It would help us position ourselves globally. In Argentina we have a radio telescope in the city of Buenos Aires, but not of this magnitude," she added. "This radio telescope allows obtaining weak signals from distant sources, it could not be used for espionage. It is used to observe extragalactic things, see how the Earth is moving, in how much time, the interaction of the stars, among other things," she concluded. The project was a work that reflected more than 30 years of scientific cooperation between both countries. "People protest relying on religion" Fortunato Mallimaci, PhD in Sociology specializing in Society, Culture and Religion, described the interference of creeds in society in recent years, from Sputnik studies. "For a long time it was said that religions were going to disappear because they were the result of ignorance or peasant people. But today we discover that, in Latin America, the person protests against the established by relying on religion," he said.
