Ahead of tomorrow's meeting with Xi Jinping, Donald Trump landed in South Korea. After Malaysia and Japan, this is the last stage of his multi-day trip, the stake of which is not only the future of tariffs, but above all, access to rare earth metals, about 70% of which are currently controlled by China. In turn, Beijing wants the Americans to lift the ban on the export of modern semiconductors, without which it is difficult to develop AI technology. However, tomorrow's summit concerns something even more significant than avoiding a trade war between the world's two largest economies. Securing access to them concerned Trump's conversation with the new Prime Minister of Japan, Takaichi Sanae - a politician who announces a tougher course towards China. What have the Americans managed to achieve so far? Will China and the USA avoid a customs war - and will they agree on raw materials and technologies without which both countries cannot imagine their future? How will Japan and South Korea find themselves in this new balance of power?
