The Great Friendship Collapse We grow up, but why do friendships become more fragile? | MM EP.2552

From 🇹🇭 Mission To The Moon, published at 2025-11-25 13:00

"The older you get, the more friends you lose" is a phrase many have experienced themselves. But behind it isn't just about time or distance; it's the "structure of life" that has unknowingly changed. We chase after work, stability, and self-care until we forget that friendships also require "investment." From once sitting and talking late into the night, today it's just a quick "See you around!" and we never actually meet. In this episode, we invite you to reflect on why we gradually drift apart from those who were once close, and how to nurture the "friends who are still here" so they don't disappear into silence. #Relationships #Podcast #missiontothemoon #missiontothemoonpodcast

Martín Escobari - Inside General Atlantic

From 🇺🇸 Invest Like the Best with Patrick O'Shaughnessy, published at 2025-11-25 09:00

My guest today is Martín Escobari. Martín is Co-President and Head of Global Growth Equity at General Atlantic. We talk about General Atlantic’s unique founding story and how its long-term structure, including permanent capital, a single P&L, and partnership culture, allows it to invest differently than other growth equity firms. We discuss the firm’s global perspective and particularly why the premium on U.S. equities is creating compelling opportunities across international and emerging markets. Martín has spent his career investing through bubbles, market cycles, and technological shifts. He shares his investing framework for balancing intuition with analysis, his approach to “spearfishing” for once-in-a-decade opportunities, and why he believes this is the best window for growth equity since 2009. Martín also reflects on his incredible personal story. He talks about growing up in turbulent Bolivia, and the role of curiosity and optimism in sustaining a long investing career. Martín’s infectious energy and genuine love for investing made this conversation both insightful and a lot of fun. Please enjoy my great conversation with Martín Escobari. #223 The three butterflies

    From 🇩🇪 Mordlust, published at 2025-11-25 04:00

Trigger warning: This episode deals with racism, among other things. Minerva Mirabal grew up in the Dominican Republic at a time when dictator Trujillo tolerated no dissent and demanded absolute loyalty. But the young woman made no secret of her thoughts on politics and justice. When the Mirabals were invited to a ball hosted by the dictator in 1949, where he made advances towards her, that evening would change her life forever. A resistance against the regime grew within her, one that could no longer be stopped and soon extended far beyond her own family. In this episode of "Mordlust – Crimes and their Backgrounds," we talk about what it means to show courage in a system that punishes every deviation. It's about female resistance, the mechanisms of a dictatorship, power, machismo, and how three women became symbolic figures for an entire country, and how their legacy resonates internationally to this day. For the case of the Butterflies is why November 25th is now recognized as the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women and Girls. Negotiations for peace in Ukraine: "Europe does not have the capacity to impose anything"

    From 🇦🇷 Cara o Ceca, published at 2025-11-25 03:55

Negotiations for peace in Ukraine continue following the announcement of Donald Trump's 28-point draft. Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, and special envoy, Steve Witkoff, met in Geneva with a Ukrainian delegation last weekend to discuss the issue. "This is a realistic peace plan, bearing the Witkoff seal, who knows the terrain. Agreements of this type must take into account the reality on the battlefield, which is why it is balanced. It addresses important issues such as the denazification of Ukraine, and Donetsk and Lugansk would be recognized as Russian territory," Christian Lamesa, an international analyst, stated on Cara o Ceca. "I see firmness in Donald Trump. He managed to put Volodymyr Zelenskyy between a rock and a hard place. It remains to be seen if he can impose his will on the Europeans who are maintaining this situation," he added. On the other hand, Lamesa maintained that a European counter-proposal "would be delusional." "Europe has no capacity to impose anything, only to keep this situation on life support. Surely these 28 points will undergo some modification, and Russia is willing to make some concessions, but always bearing in mind that it is the side that is winning." Aprender Tests in Argentina: An indicator of the state of education The Ministry of Human Capital, through the Secretariat of Education, implemented the 2025 version of the exam that provides data on the level of knowledge of children in the country. Last Wednesday the 12th, 750,000 sixth-grade primary students —between 11 and 12 years old— were evaluated in language and mathematics. "There is an alarming decline, and we do not see a turning point where we start to rise again. In 2003, we were at the regional average, and since then, we have been descending in the rankings," stated Alejandro Castro Santander, director of the Observatory of School Coexistence at the Argentine Catholic University and a representative of Argentines for Education.

    Bolsonaro's legal situation

    From 🇧🇷 O Assunto, published at 2025-11-25 03:16

Guest: Renato Stanziola Vieira, PhD in Criminal Procedural Law from USP. Former president of the Brazilian Institute of Criminal Sciences (Ibccrim). The former president's preventive detention was upheld by a unanimous decision this Monday (24) in the 1st Panel of the Federal Supreme Court. By 4 votes to 0, the justices decided that Bolsonaro will remain imprisoned at the Federal Police Superintendency in Brasília - where he was taken last Saturday. The STF justices considered there was a risk of flight - on the eve of the Supreme Court defining from when, and where, Bolsonaro will serve his 27-year and 3-month sentence for attempted coup d'état. One of the pillars of the request for the former president's arrest is the violation of the electronic ankle monitor. In this episode, Natuza Nery talks with Renato Stanziola Vieira, PhD in Criminal Procedural Law from USP. Former president of the Brazilian Institute of Criminal Sciences (Ibccrim), Stanziola details the legal arguments presented by STF Justice Alexandre de Moraes to maintain Bolsonaro's preventive detention. Moraes was joined by the votes of Justices Flávio Dino, Cristiano Zanin, and Cármen Lúcia. He discusses which situations foresee preventive detention, and in which cases there is room for defense appeals. Stanziola also answers what happens now with the former president's legal situation.

    The story of Libby

From 🇮🇱 אחד ביום (Echad Ba'Yom), published at 2025-11-25 03:00

Most often, we as a public are exposed to violence against women only when it reaches its most extreme and deadly stage - murder. But most abusive relationships do not start there, and they almost never look like that in the beginning. This was also the case in Libi Kessel's story. Years after she left an abusive relationship, Libi encountered an eight-stage model that describes how a relationship can deteriorate into dangerous violence, and realized that her story ended at stage six. As part of processing this difficult realization, she decided to talk to friends and family about how they experienced her relationship - a journey that became the documentary "I Left at Six." So this time, we are in conversation with Libi about her personal story, about the early stages of abusive relationships, and about how they can be identified and helped, before they turn into a tragedy.

Buying a Big House: For "Security" or For "Prestige"? | #Homentor SS02 EP03 | Van Phu X Spiderum |"A grand house with wide doors" - a standard of success that was once the aspiration of many previous generations, may now be becoming a burden for the current generation. In the modern context, where people value experiences, family structures are changing, and land funds are increasingly limited, is "square footage" still the determining factor for a family's happiness and prosperity? To delve deeper into this shift in home-buying mindset, episode 3 of Homentor season 2 will "deconstruct" the standard of "a grand house" from the perspective of the new generation: What old expectations have become obsolete, and what are the true needs that make a home? Accompanying Homentor episode 3 is MC Duc Bao. What factors does he consider important when building a home for his small family?Additionally, expert Hoa Hong Nhung from Van Phu - a human-centric real estate brand - will offer a professional market perspective, analyzing why "just-right" apartments are becoming a trend, and how developers are creating "human-centric" values instead of just focusing on house size. From practical insights and in-depth analysis, the podcast hopes to redefine the modern concept of "settling down": Happiness does not lie in breadth, but in suitability and connection within the family.HOMENTOR SEASON 2 EP03Script & Host: BePExpert: Hoa Hong Nhung - Brand Department Director, Van Phu Company - Human-centric Real Estate BrandGuest: MC Duc BaoExecutive Producer: Van Phu Project Manager: Nga LeviAccount: Truc QuynhProduction House: HustleSound Engineer: PinkdotGraphic Designer: wxrdieMarketing: Quynh Phuong______________📖 Visit Spiderum bookstore for exclusive titles:Website: https://tinyurl.com/ytdes-spiderum-shopShopee: https://tinyurl.com/ytdes-shopee-spid...🎙️ Listen to stories about the professional world with Nguoi Trong Muon Nghe (People in All Professions): https://b.link/NTMN-Podcast______________© Video copyright: Spiderum© Music copyright: Youtube Audio Library, Epidemic Sound______________Contact Information✉️ Email: [email protected]☎️ Hotline: 0978 944 558______________

The Cult of Avándaro (real horror stories)

From 🇲🇽 Relatos de la Noche, published at 2025-11-24 20:30

Tonight we delve into some of the most unsettling encounters that have reached this space: stories where the supernatural appears in the least expected places… and sometimes too close for comfort. We go from the experiences of those who work surrounded by silence and motionless bodies —which perhaps aren't always so motionless— to an old town where a girl witnesses something no one should ever see in her grandparents' house. We will also hear the case of a family that discovers, too late, that not all evils come from illness; some arrive hidden in small things placed with malicious intent. And we will close with an experience that occurred during a Halloween party, when a simple digital assistant becomes the gateway for something that should not have spoken. These are distinct stories, but they all share that lingering feeling afterward: the idea that there are things watching us, listening to us, and waiting for the right moment to manifest. If you're ready, turn off the light and make yourselves comfortable. Relatos de la Noche begins now. — 📖 You can now get our book in physical and digital bookstores.
