    From 🇦🇷 Cara o Ceca, published at 2025-08-20 23:34

The science of making fruits and veggies last longer | Jenny Du

From 🇺🇸 TED Talks Daily, published at 2025-08-20 15:00

It's a hard nut to crack: in order to prevent food waste, we rely on plastic packaging and refrigeration, which harm the environment. What if we could turn to nature to address these challenges? Engineer and chemist Jenny Du shares how a simple plant-based innovation — using the same elements found in fruit and vegetable peels — can extend the shelf life of produce, while also fighting food waste and spurring a healthier, more sustainable food system. For a chance to give your own TED Talk, fill out the Idea Search Application: ted.com/ideasearch.Interested in learning more about upcoming TED events? Aktivist Birgit Lohmeyer – Where does one get the strength to live among Nazis?

From 🇩🇪 Hotel Matze, published at 2025-08-20 15:00

Birgit is a resistance activist, writer, qualified pedagogue and, together with her husband Horst, founder of the festival “Jamel rockt den Förster”. They live in the village of Jamel in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, a stronghold of the German neo-Nazi scene. Despite great resistance, they have been committed to democracy and tolerance there for over 20 years and are supported by many artists in the country. Since its foundation in 2007, their festival has featured not only Die Toten Hosen, but also Die Ärzte, Deichkind, Danger Dan and Bosse. I visited her at her home and wanted to know from Birgit where she gets the tireless strength for resistance, what her life was like before moving to Jamel and how she looks to the future. We talk about role models, democracy, tolerance, victims and perpetrators – and about the good and bad in people. Raport - sezon nie-ogórkowy - 20 sierpnia 2025

From 🇵🇱 Raport o stanie świata Dariusza Rosiaka, published at 2025-08-20 12:00

In this episode, American Compass founder and chief economist Oren Cass sits down with commentator and author Noah Smith and a16z General Partner Erik Torenberg for a lively debate on the future of U.S. industry.
