Imposto de renda: fim para quem ganha até R$ 5 mil.

    From 🇧🇷 O Assunto, published at 2025-10-02 03:13

Guests: Valdo Cruz, GloboNews commentator, and Thatiane Piscitelli, FGV-SP Tax Law professor. Deputies unanimously approved the bill exempting income tax for those earning up to R$5,000 per month. There were 493 votes in favor on Wednesday night. Now, the text goes to the Senate. According to government calculations, 10 million taxpayers should benefit. The government's proposal was sent to the Chamber in March to correct distortions in the income tax table – created to tax more those who earn more, the table has not been fully corrected since 1996. To compensate for the exemption, the government proposed taxation with a progressive rate of up to 10% on income above R$600,000 per year - workers who have salary as their only source of income will not be affected, as the tax discount is done automatically on the paycheck. To explain how this imbalance arose in the income tax table, Natuza Nery talks to Tathiane Piscitelli, doctor in tax law from USP and professor of Tax Law at FGV-SP. She discusses what tax justice means in Brazil. Valdo Cruz, GloboNews commentator, also participates. Previously, Valdo Cruz, GloboNews commentator, analyzes the text that went to a vote after months of negotiations. He also explains which proposals were presented by deputies, especially in relation to so-called compensations.

From 🇬🇧 The Rest Is History, published at 2025-10-01 23:05

What terrifying trials did Jason and the Argonauts have to overcome to win the famous Golden Fleece from a fire-breathing dragon, in one of the greatest greek myths of all time? When and where does this thrilling story come from? How does it tie together the tales of Odysseus, Orpheus, Achilles and Circe? Is there any historical evidence for the story of Jason and the Argonauts? What are the origins of Medea, the beautiful but vindictive sorceress who Jason marries? Did the Greeks still worship the Olympian gods in the more skeptical Hellenistic age? How did the coming of Alexander the Great transform the Greeks’ understanding of the divine? And, were the Olympian gods really once mortal kings and queens of an earlier age, or were they planets..? Join Tom and Dominic as they conclude their epic journey into the glorious heart of Greek mythology, as they explore their evolution in an increasingly skeptical Hellenistic world, and answer the question; why did the Greek myths endure and captivate audiences throughout history, in a way that no other culture’s mythology did? 罗伯特·戴利:如果中国赢了——如何更实际地看待美中竞争?

    From 🇨🇳 不明白播客, published at 2025-10-01 23:00

Robert Daly has worked in US-China relations for nearly 40 years, including 12 years in China. He was a US diplomat in China, taught Chinese, starred in one of the most popular TV series in the 90s, "A Native of Beijing in New York," and later spent a long time studying US-China relations. As a witness to the changes in US-China relations, how have Daly's basic feelings about the two countries changed? Why does he think the current US-China relationship must be understood within the framework of a "new Cold War"? How does he view recent US policies towards China? In the context of the new Cold War, how will pessimism about the reality of the United States and excessive praise for Chinese technology affect the policies of the two countries? As a "non-hawk" analyst, what is the biggest challenge he faces in an increasingly closed and antagonistic atmosphere? **Timeline:** 00:00 intro 01:17 As a witness to the changes in US-China relations, how have Daly's basic feelings about the United States and China changed? 06:22 Is this a new Cold War? What is the competition about in the new Cold War? 10:37 How does pessimism about the current state of the United States affect the formulation of China policy? 18:20 How will Beijing take advantage of the pessimistic sentiment in American society? 20:16 How do you view the outside world's endless praise for China's technology industry? 24:52 Q&A;: Is opposing the current authoritarian tendencies in the United States also an effort to defeat autocratic communist China? 26:53 What goals should US policy towards China pursue? 30:35 Q&A;: Is the resilience of the American system underestimated? 32:27 Q&A;: How do you view people who criticize the Communist Party while supporting Trump? 34:51 Q&A;: What was the biggest impact of Trump's rise to power on US policy toward China? 36:41 How do you view "Trump's first term gave the United States a clearer understanding of the threat from the CCP"? 39:04 What are the fatal weaknesses of the Chinese regime? 39:58 Have you observed any traces of civil autonomy in China? 41:57 Q&A;: Is the "satisfaction theory" heard in China sincere or out of politeness? 43:12 Do Ne Zha, Heytea, and Labubu mean that China's cultural soft power has increased? 47:35 As a non-hawk China policy expert, what is the biggest challenge in your current work?
